Church of the Nativity of the Theotokos

The Church was built around 1890, the bell tower bears an inscription dated 1892. It was built with hewn stone. It is located in the old settlement of Mariolata, in the old village, as it is called today, and is in a spot with a wonderful view. They say that the spot was indicated by the Virgin Mary. It was until 1972 the Parish of Mariolata, but the village still celebrates the day [8/09], while another church was built in the new settlement dedicated to the “Assumption of the Virgin”.
In 2002, after many years, a baptism took place in the temple and since then there have been weddings and baptisms.
